At West Genesee

A member of the tennis and cross country teams, Brett was first team all league in doubles in tennis. He ran with the cross country team at the Federation meet in his senior year. He was a member of the National Honor Society and earned high honor roll.

Saints Win Season-Opening CanAm Challenge

A strong showing in the field events helped St. Lawrence University to the team title in the 2011 CanAm Challenge with the University of Ottawa and Hamilton College at the Newell Field House Saturday afternoon to open the 2011-12 Saint indoor track and field season.

2011-12 Indoor: Albert competed in the 500 and 800, running a season's best of 2:08.31 at the Liberty League Championship in the 800.Outdoor: Albert ran the 400 and 800 during the outdoor season.

At Lansingburgh

Albert ran cross country and indoor and outdoor track. He was a three-time Colonial Council all star, a member of the cross country team champions in 2010, sectional cross country, 4x800 and 4x400 champions and was a three-season captain in 2011. He was a member of the National Honor Society and earned the Top Scholar-Athlete Award.

2011-12 Indoor: Jamal Samaroo set the SLU record in the triple jump at the ECAC Championships, finishing fourth with a 14.32 meter series to cap an outstanding rookie season in indoor track. He also competed in the long jump and 60 and was fourth in the Liberty League in the long jump and second in the triple jump. He finished 7th in the NYSCTC in the long jump and 8th in the triple jump. He also ran on the Saint 4x200 relay.Outdoor: Jamal added the outdoor triple jump record to his list of accomplishments with a 14.41 meter series at Oneonta. He was second in the Liberty League and the NYSCTC Championships in the triple, second in the long jump at the NYSCTC and third in the long jump at the Liberty League. He also ran on the 4x100 relay team anchoring the team which set the SLU record.

A standout athlete in both soccer and track and field at Performing Arts and Tech, Jamal Samaroo was an honorable mention All Liberty League selection in soccer last fall.

At New Hartford
Tompkins was an Honor Roll student that ran for both the cross country and track and field teams. The New Hartford, NY native was All-CNY for cross country, and won the Section III title in three track events. Aaron was also a state qualifier in the 3000m steeplechase and won the PTSA Art Award.

Smolensky was a stand-out runner, as he earned First Team All-State honors while captaining both the cross country and track and field teams. The Rochester, NY native was also the recipient of the New York State Sportsmanship Award.

Self was a multi-sport athlete, competing in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Nordic Skiing. The Richmond, VT native captained both the cross country and track and field squads while earning High Honors throughout his high school career. Ethan was also a three-time "Coach's Award" recipient.

2011-12 Indoor: Shawn ran a season's best 7.64 in the 60 in the Liberty League championships and also competed in the long jump. Outdoor: Sahwn ran the 100, 200 and competed in the long jump during the outdoor season and ran on the 4x100 relay at the NYSCTC Championships.

At Potsdam

Shawn was a three sport standout, playing soccer and lacrosse in addition to running indoor track. He was All League in soccer and indoor track as a junior and senior and in lacrosse as a senior and earned Academic All Northern honors in all sports in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. He was a member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student.

He was third overall and first among collegiate runers in the 3000 at the Can Am Challenge and ran the 800 in the Liberty League Championships.2012 Outdoor: Trevor ran the 5000 and had a personal besst of 15:37.65 at the NYSCTC Championship.

At Mt. Mansfield Union
Bibb was a four-sport athlete, competing in cross country, Nordic skiing and indoor and outdoor track and field. The Jericho, VT native was a six-time athletic captain and was the cross country team's Most Valuable Performer in 2010. He is the younger brother of former Saint women's star and record holder Alissa Bibb.

The Pittsford, NY native captained both the cross country and outdoor track teams during his senior campaign while earning both the Sportsmanship Award (XC) and the Community Service Award. Tyler was also an Honor Roll student and a member of the National Honor Society.
