Saints Advance Four Swimmers and Four Relay Teams to Tonight’s Finals

Feb. 18: The St. Lawrence University women's swimming and diving team completed competition in the preliminary races of the UNYSCSA Women's Championships, Thursday afternoon. The Saints have advanced four swimmers, including four relay teams, to tonight's finals.

Woolston Earns Three Wins as Saint Men Defeat Nazareth

Jan. 30:  Senior captain Chris Woolston racked up three first place finishes Saturday, to help the St. Lawrence men's swimming and diving team defeat Nazareth, 135-120.  Along with his top performances, rookie Casey Abribat, and sophomores' Molly Lunn and Brynn Hagen finished the day with solid finishes for the Saint women.

Powers Earns Personal Best Scores as Saints Fall to Hamilton

Jan. 23:  Despite first place finishes from senior Chris Woolston, junior Katy Kozminski, sophomore Katie Spakowski, first-year Casey Abribat, and sophomore Russ Newton, as well as a personal best across the boards for first-year Meg Powers in the diving competition, the St. Lawrence University swimming and diving team fell to Hamilton college in both the men's and women's events Saturday in Clinton, NY.  Hamilton's men defeated the Saints, 212-76, while the women earned a 187-109 victory.

St. Lawrence Falls to Hartwick in Men's and Women's Events

Jan. 16:  The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving team fell to Hartwick Saturday in Oneonta, NY, in both the men's and women's events.  The Saint men fall to a 2-3 record, while the women move to a 3-2 mark.

Saints Sweep Bears on Senior Night

Jan. 15:  The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving team swept Potsdam State in both the men's and women's events on senior night in the Augsbury Pool Friday.  The women defeated the Bears, 134-100, while the men earned a 123-93 victory.

Woolston Named Swimmer of the Year as Saints Complete Conference Championships

Dec. 5:  Senior Chris Woolston was named St. Lawrence's first ever 2009 Swimmer of the Year Saturday, as the Saints completed competition at the Liberty League Championships in Rochester, NY.  The St. Lawrence men finished fourth overall, earning a total of 402 points.  The University of Rochester (863.5), RPI (779.5), and Union College (574.5) grabbed the top three spots, while Vassar College (349.5), Clarkson University (276), and Skidmore College (159) made up the bottom three.

Saints 4th after First Session of Conference Championships

Dec. 4:  St. Lawrence competed in the first session of the Liberty League Swimming and Diving Championships Friday, hosted by the University of Rochester.  In the men's competition, the Saints sit fourth with 127 points behind third place Union College (204 points).  Rochester (228) and RPI (205) currently hold first and second, while Clarkson (113), Vassar (101), and Skidmore (59) round out the final three spots.  

Saints Fall to RIT in Men's and Women's Events

Nov. 7:  The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving team fell to RIT Saturday in both the men's and women's events.  The Tigers pulled through, defeating the men 148-82, and the women 138-98.

Saints Top Thoroughbreds in Both Men's and Women's Events

Oct. 24:  The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving team defeated Skidmore Saturday afternoon in both the women's and men's events.  The Saint women topped the Thoroughbreds 134-93, while the men dropped Skidmore 119-91. 

Saints Kick off 2009-10 Season Against Clarkson

Oct. 23: The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving team kicked off their 2009-10 season at home Friday against North Country rival Clarkson University.  The Saint women topped the Golden Knights 141-86, while the men fell to Clarkson 115-90.
