Men's Swimming and Diving Defeats Nazareth

Oct. 30:  The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving teams battled the Nazareth Golden Flyers Saturday in the Augsbury Natatorium.  The men came away with the 143-75 victory behind senior Jared Pellerin's three first-place finishes, but the women could not overcome the strong Nazareth women's team, falling 92-141.

Saints Down Thoroughbreds in Home Opener

Oct. 29:  The St. Lawrence University men's and women's swimming and diving teams each improved to 2-0 with a solid performance against Skidmore College in their first home meet of the season.  Both Saint teams posted first place finishes in eight events, the men earning a 124-102 victory and the women earning a 122-99 victory. 

Saints Swim Past Golden Knights In Season Opener

Oct 23:  The St. Lawrence University men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened up their 2010-11 campaign in style, defeating the Golden Knights at Clarkson University on Saturday afternoon.

2012:13: Elizabeth had a strong junior season, improving her personal best in the 200 IM and adding the freestyle and 400 IM to her list of events. The fourth leading scorer on the team with 148 points she had five firsts, five seconds and three thirds in indivudla events. She finished second in both breaststroke events at the Liberty League Championships and turned in her best times of the year in four different events at the UNYSCSA Championships.

2011-12:  Canne had a stand-out season as a sophomore, placing first in six of the ten individual dual meet races she participated in.  At Liberty Leagues, she earned a fourth and sixth place finish in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, respectively.  She followed up those performances with ninth (200-yard) and tenth (100-yard) place finishes at States where she recorded her best times of the season.  Also at States, she helped her 400 medley relay team to a record-setting mark with their seventh place finish. The Marcellus, NY native earned Academic All-Conference honors for her accomplishments in the classroom and was named to the Dean's List in the fall.   

2010-11:  A consistent face in the Saints line-up, Canne made an immediate impact in her first collegiate season.  She earned Dean's List honors in her first-year, and was a member of the Wind Ensemble.

2012-13: Katharina competed in the 200 free and 100 and 200 fly in addition to swimming relays in her junior season. Her top times in all three events came in the UNYSCSA Championships to finish the season.

2011-12:  
Weidhausser finished in the top two of 10 of the 12 dual meet individual races she appeared in.  She earned eighth place finishes in the 100 and 200 fly at the Liberty League Championships where she posted her best times of the season.  The Oettingen, Germany native earned Academic All-Conference honors for her efforts in the classroom and was named to the Dean's List in the fall.  

2010-11:  Weidhausser emerged as a consistent point scorer in her first season with the Saints.  Participating in several successful relay teams, the Oettingen, Germany native turned in her best performances in the 100 and 200 fly at the UNYSCSA Championships.  A double major in international economics and french, she earned Dean's List honors in the fall of 2010 and the spring of 2011.

Weidhausser joins the St. Lawrence Swimming and Diving team from Oettingen, Germany where she was a member of her school's swim team.  She raced to third place finishes in the German Championships in 2008 (50m and 100m butterfly).  She also graduated in the top ten of her class.

2012-13: Tad turned in career bests in the 500 free and 1000 free in 2012-13 with a 5:06.09 in the 500 at the Liberty League Championships and a 10:50.17 against Clarkson. He also competed in the 1650 free, 100 and 200 fly and 200 and 400 IM and was a contributor for the Saints on the relays. He finished the year with 79.25 points with four wins, two seconds and four thirds.

2011-12:
Competing in his second year with the Saints, Deatly turned in career best times in a variety of events, including the 500 free, 1650 free and 400 IM at the UNYSCSA Championships. 

2010-11:  Deatly contributed to the Saints in a variety of events in his first season as a collegiate swimmer, including the 1000 Free, 1650 Free, 200 IM and the 400 IM.  He is a history major.   

At Summit

Deatly was a two-sport athlete, participating in both swimming and track and field.  The Summit, NJ native was the captain of the Elite Swim Club and was on the honor roll his senior year.  

Molly Spakowski '13

2012-13:Molly turned in personal bests in the 50, 100, 200 and 1000 free in her senior season with both the 100 and 200 marks coming in the UNYSCSA championships at the end of the season. She also swam on the 800 free relay at the state meet. She had a first and three seconds among top individual finishes.

2011-12:  Spakowski appeared in several meets as a freestylist throughout her sophomore season with the Saints. 

2010-11:   Spakowski participated in several events in her first season with the Saints.  She turned in her best performances in the 200 and 500 free at the UNYSCSA Championships.  

At Arcadia
Spakowski was a two-sport athlete, participating in swimming and lacrosse.  While captaining the swim team, she earned All-League honors and her team's Most Valuable Player award.  The Rochester, NY native is a member of the National Honor Society and was a High Honor Roll student with distinction.  Spakowski was the valedictorian of her graduating class.

2012-13: Luke improved his personal bests in the 100 breast and the 100 free and added the 200 IM to his list of events in his junior season. He had one first, three seconds and three third in scoirng 72 points fo rthe Saints and was also a key contributor on rerlays.

2011-12:  Peleggi contributed to the Saints in a variety of events during his sophomore season, turning in his career-best times in the 200 free, 100 back and 200 back at States.  The Slingerlands, NY native also helped his 800 free and 200 medley relay teams to eighth and 12th place finishes with their best times of the season. 

2010-11:  Peleggi participated in several events in his first season with the Saints, including the 200 free, 50 back, 100 back and 200 back.  

At Bethlehem Central

Peleggi was a three-sport athlete, participating in tennis, swimming, and track.  The Slingerlands, NY native captained the swim team and was a Section 2 Finalist all four years of high school.  

Woolston Finishes 17th on Final Day of NCAA Championships

Mar. 20:  Senior captain Chris Woolston completed a phenomenal four-year collegiate career with a 17th place finish in the 200 Yard Backstroke preliminaries on the final day of the Division III NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Minneapolis is Minnesota.

Woolston Finishes 22nd with Personal Record on Day Two of NCAA Championships

Mar. 19:  Senior captain Chris Woolston cut nearly two tenths off his seeded time and previous record to finish 22nd in the 100 Yard Backstroke preliminaries, Friday morning on the second day of the Division III NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Minneapolis in Minnesota.
