Saint Women Top Bears, 164-110; Men Fall Short, 135-143

Jan. 21:  The St. Lawrence University women's swimming and diving team used 11 individual wins to propel itself to a 164-110 victory over Potsdam State on Saturday afternoon in the Augsbury Natatorium.  The Bears, however, slipped past the men's team by the score of 145-134. 

Saint Women 3rd, Men 6th in 2011 Liberty League Championships

St. Lawrence University's women's team posted its best finish in the program's Liberty League history with a third and the men's team placed sixth  at the 2011 Liberty League Swimming and Diving Championships at Rensselaer on Saturday.

Saints Compete in First Day of Liberty League Championships

Dec. 2: The St. Lawrence University men's and women's swimming and diving teams participated in the first day of competition at the 2011 Liberty League Championships, hosted by Rensselaer in Troy, NY.

Newton, Moffitt Earn Weekly Honors

Nov. 8:  Senior co-captain Russ Newton and first-year student Samantha Moffitt were honored by the Liberty League for their performances during the past week. 

Saints Earn Split Against Tigers on Homecoming Weekend

Nov. 5:  The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving team earned a split with visiting RIT on Saturday afternoon in the Augsbury Natatorium.  The women's team handily defeated the Tigers 140-99, while the men fell by the score of 167-75.  The Saints will be back in action at the Liberty League Championships on December 2nd and 3rd, hosted by Rensselaer.  

Saints Fall at Nazareth

Oct. 29:  The St. Lawrence University men's and women's swimming and diving teams suffered losses to a talented Nazareth team on Saturday evening in Rochester, NY.  The men's team (0-3) was outscored 147-135, while the women's team (1-2) fell by the score of 153-135.  The Saints return home to take on RIT on November 5 in a dual meet slated to begin at 1:00PM. 

Saints Split in Home Opener

Oct. 28:  The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving team battled with North Country rival Clarkson University on Friday night in the Augsbury Natatorium.  The women's team posted ten individual first place victories en route to the 136-75 victory, while the men's team dropped a tough 117-110 decision.  The Saints travel to Rochester, NY to take on Nazareth College tomorrow afternoon.   

Saints Open 2011-12 Season with Win at Skidmore

Oct. 22:  The St. Lawrence University men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened their 2011-12 season against Skidmore on Saturday afternoon in Saratoga Springs, NY.  The women posted a 162-132 victory, while the men suffered a 183-102 loss on the day.  The Saints will battle North Country rival Clarkson University in their home-opener on Friday, Oct. 28 in the Augsbury Natatorium.

2011-12: Williams appeared in several meets in her first year with the Saints, posting her best times at the UNYSCSA Championships.    

At Allendale Columbia
Williams was a three-sport athlete, participating in volleyball, swimming and softball.  Earning All-League recognition for six consecutive years, she was a three-time swim team MVP.  A frequent face on the honor roll, she earned the "Pablo Neruda Award" for excellence in 12th grade Spanish.  The Fairport, NY native graduated with high honors.

2011-12:  Wiederecht appeared in several middle to long distance freestyle races for the Saints in her rookie season, with her best times in the 200 and 500 free coming at the UNYSCSA Championships. 

At Staples
Wiederecht was a two-sport athlete, participating in swimming and softball.  The Westport, CT native earned "Rookie of the Year" honors in her freshman year, and "Most Improved" honors in her senior year.
