Victoria Lederer

Victoria Lederer joined the Saint swimming and diving program staff as assistant swim coach in the fall of 2012.

A five-time All America at Kenyon College, Lederer graduated in 2011 and was a member of the 2008 and 2009 Kenyon national championship swim teams. She earned All America honors in the 1650 freestyle, 400 individual medley and 200 breaststroke. She was a three-year winner of the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar-Athlete Award and the 2010-11 team captain. She was the 2011 Stephen E. Bennett Memorial Award at Kenyon, earning her degree in chemistry with a minor in art history.

She is a four-time finisher in the Alcatraz 1.6 Mile Open Water Swim and competed in the 2010 Pittsburgh Triathlon.

A native of North Wildwood, NJ, she was a marketing assistant ad DelMo sports prior to joining the staff at St. Lawrence.

 

 

 

Maple, Lederer Join Saint Swimming and Diving Coaching Staff

Aug. 17: Jesse Maple, a member of the University of Minnesota Big 10 Championship team in 2005, and five-time Kenyon College NCAA Division III All America Victoria Lederer have joined the St. Lawrence University swimming and diving programs as assistant coaches.

Russ Newton Selected for Ted Webster Memorial Award

March 30: St. Lawrence University senior Russ Newton was named the recipient of the Ted Webster Memorial Award as announced by the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association.

Abribat Sets Third Record; Saints Wrap up 2011-12 Season at States

Feb.25: The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving teams wrapped up their 2011-12 season at the UNYSCSA Championships on Saturday. The Saints established four new records during the meet as the women's team captured eighth and the men's team finished ninth.

Saints Complete Day 3 of States

Feb. 24: Day three of competition at the UNYSCSA Championships has concluded and the St. Lawrence University swimming and diving teams continue to post some of their best times of the season. The men's team jumped to tenth place out of 13 teams with 208 points, while the women's team sits in eighth place out of 14 teams with 353 points after 29 events.

Saints Complete Day 2 of States; Two More Records Set

Feb. 23: The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving teams completed day two of competition at the UNYSCSA Championships. The women's team, which sits in eighth place with 259 points, set two new marks in the program's record book today.

Feb 22: The St. Lawrence University men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed day one of competition at the New York State meet.

Saints Sweep Utica on "Senior Day"

Feb. 4:  The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving team earned a sweep over Utica by the scores of 133-79 (men) and 147-78 (women) on Saturday afternoon.  The Saints celebrated "senior day" as Class of 2012, comprised of Andrew Hayes, Russ Newton, Chasity Barcomb, Brynn Hagen, Molly Lunn and Katie Spakowski, competed in its last home swim meet of the season. 

Saint Women Split; Men Fall in Weekend Competition

Jan. 28: The St. Lawrence University women's swimming and diving team split in a tri-meet against Hartwick and Oneonta in Oneonta, NY. The women, now 6-2, fell to the Hawks,136-90, but defeated the Red Dragons by the score of 123-118. In men's competition, the Saints (0-8) suffered losses to both Hartwick (166-55) and Oneonta (173-64).

Saint Women Dominate Purple Knights, 122-101; Men Edged in Final Event, 115-114

Jan. 22:  The St. Lawrence University women's swimming and diving team had six individual wins and a relay win in a 122-101 victory over Saint Michael's College on Sunday afternoon.  The Purple Knights, however, collected 15 points in the final relay to edge out the Saints men's team by the score of 115-114.
