Another Record for Moffitt, Makes NCAA "B" Time

Feb. 23: Sophomore Sammi Moffitt improved her own record and made the NCAA "B" cut with a fifth place finish in the 200 backstroke to highlight the final day of competition for the St. Lawrence women's swim team at the Upper New York State Collegiate Swim Championships at Ithaca on Saturday.

Moffitt Sets Another Record, Men's 800 Free Relay 11th at States

Feb. 22: Sammi Moffitt set her second St. Lawrence University record in three days and the Saint women's swim team maintained its hold on eighth place in the 2013 Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association Championships at Ithaca College on Friday.

Record Falls in 200 Free Relay, 400 Medley Finishes 7th at States

Feb. 22: The St. Lawrence University women’s swim team added another relay record to its list of accomplishments and had a top eight finish in a second relay while the Saint men’s team had a pair of solid relay swims to climb in the point standings in day two of the Upper New York State Swimming Association Championship meet at Ithaca College.

Moffitt Sets SLU 200 IM Record, 200 MR Places 8th at States

Feb. 20: The St. Lawrence University 200 medley relay team of Casey Abribat, Staci Czaja, Sammi Moffitt and Alana Blackburn finished eighth in the “A” final and Moffitt improved her own record in the 200 individual medley at the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association Championship meet at Ithaca College to highlight day one of the four-day competition for the Saints

Saint Women, Men Conclude Dual Schedule with Wins at Utica

Feb. 2: Sammi Moffitt won two events and led off the winning medley relay team to help the St. Lawrence University women's swimming and diving team complete its dual meet season with 140-75 win at Utica while Matt Bauer and diver Billy Moran were double winners for the Saint men which won their second dual meet in the last three tries, 112-85.

Abribat Wins 2 Events in Final Home Meet

Jan. 26: Senior Casey Abribat won two events and led off a winning relay in her final home dual meet, but Hartwick College swept the team competitions for both the men and women.

Relay Gives Saint Men 1st Win; Women Sweep Weekend

Jan. 20: Alex Root gave St. Lawrence University's 200 freestyle relay the lead on the third leg and Jason Dutra held it with a strong anchor leg in Sunday's home swim meet against St. Michael's College and the relay win gave the Saint men their first dual meet win of the season, 110-107. The Saint women had a somewhat less dramatic afternoon with a 130-87 win over the Purple Knights to complete a weekend dual meet sweep.

Saints Women Return to Action With Win at Potsdam, Dutra, Root Lead Men

Jan. 19: Elizabeth Canne, Sammi Moffitt and Alana Blackburn all had two individual wins each and were part of the winning 400 medley relay team as St. Lawrence University's women's swimming and diving team returned to dual meet action with a 150-102 win at Potsdam on Saturday while Jason Dutra won the 200 back, scored first in the 100 fly and was second in the 100 back and diver Billy Moran won on both the one meter and three meter boards as the Saint men lost to Potsdam 145-116.

Trevor Herzog

Trevor Herzog, a former diver at St. Bonaventure University, has joined the St. Lawrence University men's and women's swimming and diving coaching staff as diving coach.


Herzog is a 2011 graduate of St. Bonaventure and was a four-year member of the swim team. He finished sixth in the Atlantic 10 on the three meter board and eighth on the one meter board in his senior year.


A native of Liverpool, NY, he was captain of the diving team in 2010-11 and was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. He was a two-time A-10 Commissioner's Dean's List recipient and an NCAA Athletic Scholarship winner. He was the winner of the Eugene Klier Award for Leadership, Friendship and Sacrifice while a member of the Liverpool High School Swimming and Diving team.


He has worked as a coach at the Penn State Diving Camp and at the Southern Tier Diving Club in St. Bonaventure and has had an internship in strength and conditioning in addition to student teaching in physical education.
