Khalifa Sweeps Major Awards, Seven Saints Honored by League

March 21:  St. Lawrence University first-year student Amr Khaled Khalifa was named the Liberty League's Player and Rookie of the Year as the 2012-13 men's squash award winners were announced on Thursday afternoon.  Khalifa was joined by six other Saints in being recognized by the league for their performances during the season.  Sophomores Ibrahim Khan, Kyle Ogilvy and Sebastian Riedelsheimer garnered All-League awards, while junior Vir Seth and sophomores Duncan Maxwell and Chris Fernandez earned Honorable Mention status.

Khalifa Featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces In The Crowd”

March 13: St. Lawrence University first-year student Amr Khaled Khalifa, winner of the 2013 College Squash Association men's Individual Championship, has been featured in this week's edition of Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd."

Khalifa Wins CSA Individual National Title with Championship Sweep

March 3:  First-year student Amr Khaled Khalifa captured the St. Lawrence University men's squash program's first individual national title with a 3-0 win in the College Squash Association Individual Championship in Hartford, CT, Sunday.  Khalifa swept top-seeded Todd Harrity, a senior from Princeton, in the Pool Division championship match.

Khalifa Knocks Off Farag, Will Compete for National Championship Tomorrow

March 2:  Amr Khaled Khalifa battled back from a two-game deficit to win the next three games, knocking off defending champion Ali Farag of Harvard 3-2 in the semifinals of the CSA Individual Championships in Hartford, CT on Saturday.  With the victory, Khalifa advances to tomorrow's national championship match against Princeton's Todd Harrity taking place at noon. 

Three Saints Advance in Main Draw at Nationals

March 1:  Three members of the St. Lawrence University men's squash team advanced in the main draw of individual nationals in Hartford, CT on Friday.  

Saints Sixth in Nation after 5-4 Loss to Rochester

Feb. 24:  Despite being edged by Rochester in the Potter Cup consolation finals, the St. Lawrence University men's squash team has concluded its phenomenal season ranked sixth in the nation, the program's highest ever finish. 

Saints Earn First Ever Win Over Big Red

Feb. 23:  The #8 seed St. Lawrence University men's squash team will appear in the consolation finals of the CSA Championship after upsetting #5 Cornell, 5-4, in New Haven, CT on Saturday. The victory was the Saints' first over the Big Red in program history as St. Lawrence moves to 11-5 on the season.  The Scarlet and Brown have earned their highest finish ever in the national tournament and will face either Liberty League foe Rochester or Franklin and Marshall tomorrow at noon.

#1 Bantams Defeat #8 Saints at CSA Team Nationals

Feb. 22:  The nationally-ranked #8 St. Lawrence University men's squash team fell to top-ranked Trinity in Friday's opening round of the Potter Cup at CSA National Team Championships in New Haven, CT.  The Saints, who move to 10-5 on the season, saw a seven-game win streak end but battled with their higher seeded opponents, pushing multiple games to extra points. 

No. 8 Saints to Face No. 1 Trinity at CSA Team Nationals

Feb. 21:  The St. Lawrence University men's squash team will compete for a national title for the first time in program history this weekend at the CSA National Team Championship in New Haven, CT.  The Saints, who compiled an impressive 10-4 record this season en route to its highest national ranking ever at #8, will meet top-ranked powerhouse Trinity in the first round of the Potter Cup (A Division) on Friday, Feb. 22 at 11:30 am. 

#9 Saints Win 7th Straight with Sweep of Panthers

Feb. 6:  The St. Lawrence University men's squash team, ranked #9 nationally, stretched its win-streak to seven matches with a 9-0 sweep of #16 Middlebury College on Wednesday afternoon.  The Saints, who improve to 10-4 on the season, also celebrated senior day as it was the last home match for the team's lone senior Amay Merchant.  Meanwhile, the Panthers fall to 12-6 on the season.
