Saints Compete in 3x6 Free Relays at Colby

Jan. 22: The St. Lawrence Univeristy Nordic ski teams competed in the 3x6 6K Freestyle relays on Saturday at the 2011 Colby Carnival at the Titcomb Ski Area. 

Hart Paces Saints in 10K Classic at Colby

Jan. 21: St. Lawrence University junior captain Leah Hart led the Saints Nordic ski teams in the 10K Classic races on Friday at the 2011 Colby Carnival at the Titcomb Ski Area.  Hart finished in 11th place in the women's race, leading St. Lawrence to eighth place in the team standings.

Hart, Terko Pace Saints in Freestyle Events

Jan. 15: St. Lawrence University junior Nordic skiers Leah Hart and Adam Terko each posted career-best finishes on Saturday in the freestyle events at the 2011 St. Lawrence Carnival in Lake Placid, NY.  Hart finished in fourth place overall in the women's event, while Terko earned 19th place on the men's side.

Hart Opens 2011 Season with Career-Best Finish

Jan. 14: The St. Lawrence University Nordic ski teams opened the 2011 campaign on Friday in Lake Placid, NY as the Saints played host to the first EISA carnival of the season.  Junior captain Leah Hart led the Scarlet and Brown with a career-best 15th place finish in the women's classic race.

Career Top-20 Finishes: 5

2012: Lustgarten had a breakout season as a sophomore, picked up four top-20 finishes in classic events.  The Burlington, VT native was 14th in the 10K Classic at Williams, his best collegiate showing to date, and added top-20's at UVM, UNH and the EISA Championships.

2011:
Lustgarten had an impressive rookie campaign, competing in all six EISA Carnivals.  The Burlington, VT native had a career-best 39th place finish in the 20K Classic at Dartmouth and earned USCSCA All-Academic honors for his efforts in the classroom.

Lustgarten was a multi-sport athlete, competing in Nordic skiing, cross country running, soccer as well as track and field.  A member of the National Honor Society, Lustgarten captained both the track and Nordic ski teams and was an All-State selection for Nordic skiing after a third place showing in the state championship.

Saints Prepared to Host Opening Carnival of 2011

Dec. 20: The snow has begun piling up all over the northeast, including Lake Placid, NY, the site of the 2011 St. Lawrence University carnival, which will officially open the EISA season.  The Saints Nordic teams each return veteran squads that will look to compete alongside some of the best competition in the country.

Dec. 14: Former St. Lawrence University Nordic skier Robin Brooks '08, who currently serves as the head coach of the Glacier Nordic Team in Whitefish, MT, was recently featured in an article for FasterSkier.com.

Five Saints Earn EISA All-Academic Honors

May 26: Five members of the 2010 St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team were named to this year's Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) All-Academic roster. 

Townsend Named EISA Coach of the Year

Mar. 26: St. Lawrence University Nordic ski coach Ethan Townsend has been named the Eastern Intercollegiate Skiing Association (EISA) Nordic Coach of the Year for 2010.

Knowles Finishes 13th in 20K Free at NCAA Championships

Mar. 13: St. Lawrence University senior Ben Knowles narrowly missed out on All-America honors on Saturday, as the Cumberland, ME native finished in 13th place in the 20K Freestyle event at the 2010 NCAA Championships in Steamboat Springs, CO.
