Carpenter, Meng Pace Saints at Bates Carnival

Jan. 21: The St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team completed competition at the 2012 Bates Carnival on Saturday in Rumford, ME.  Senior Caroline Carpenter and first-year student Austin Meng led the Scarlet and Brown in the women's and men's 10k classic, respectively.

Saints Open 2012 Carnival Season at Bates

Jan. 20: The St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team began the 2012 EISA carnival season on Friday at the Bates Carnival, as the Saints competed in the freestyle events at Black Mountain. 

Lustgarten, Saints Impress at 2012 U.S. Nationals

Jan. 9: The St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team competed last week at the 2012 United States National Championships in Rumford, ME to prepare for the upcoming carnival season.  Sophomore Eric Lustgarten highlighted the week with a victory in the junior men's division of the classic sprint held on Sunday.

Hart, Saints Ready for Solid 2012 Season

Dec. 15: The St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team will be spending the holiday break preparing for the 2012 season, which is about a month away.  Senior captains Leah Hart, Caroline Carpenter and Adam Terko will lead the Scarlet and Brown, each with hopes of earning a bid to this year's NCAA Championship races in Bozeman, MT.

2011-12: Hart competed in the opening two carnivals of the season as well as the classic race at Williams.  The Meredith, NH native had a collegiate-best finish of 46th place in classic sprints at UNH.

At Inter-Lakes

Hart was a four-sport athlete, competing in Nordic skiing, cross country running, track and field and tennis. The Meredith, NH native captained the ski squad while earning a bid into the National Honor Society and a spot on the high honor roll.

2012: Meng made an immediate impact with the Scarlet and Brown in his rookie season, picking up four top-30 finishes as a first-year student.  The Truckee, CA native was 17th in the 20K Classic at Dartmouth for his best collegiate showing, but added a 21st at Bates in classic as well.

At Sugar Bowl Academy

Meng was a decorated student-athlete, competing for both the Nordic skiing and cross country running teams. The Truckee, CA native was the state champion in Nordic and was the team's MVP and captain. Austin was also named the school's Student-Athlete of the Year and was the student body president.

2012: Mulcahy raced throughout the season for the Saints on the carnival circuit.  She showed improvement throughout the schedule, recording her best finish of the year at the EISA Championships at Middlebury, where she was 43rd in the 5K Free.

At Glens Falls High School

Mulcahy was a three-sport student-athlete, participating in Nordic skiing, cross country running and track and field. The Glens Falls, NY native captained the ski squad and was a Foothills Council All-Star. Mulcahy earned a Student of the Month award and was on the high honor roll.

Likly was a tri-sport student-athlete, earning honor roll status while competing on the cross country, Nordic skiing and track and field squads. The Pittsford, NY native captained the Nordic team as a senior, and was a two-time team MVP. Likly was 4th overall the NYS Championships both his junior and senior seasons.

2011-12: Frielinghaus earned a spot on the Saints' travel roster in his rookie season.  The Queensbury, NY native picked up his best collegiate finishes at the Dartmouth Carnival, where he was 35th and 36th in the free and classic races, respectively.

At Queensbury

Frielinghaus was a multi-sport athlete, competing on the Nordic ski squad as well as the track and field team. The Queensbury, NY native, who is a member of the National Art Honor Society, captained the ski team his senior season. William was also given the team's Sportsmanship Award and earned a spot in the state championship race in 2011.

Hart, Lustgarten Named to USCSCA All-Academic Team

Mar. 29: Junior Leah Hart and first-year student Eric Lustgarten were each named to the 2011 U.S. Collegiate Ski Coaches Association All-Academic Team.
