Our experienced staff is headed by Saint Head Coach Bob Clemmer. We will show you the latest stroke and diving mechanics plus the latest conditioning skills in competitive swimming today. You will be shown stroke drills, see the strokes on film (demonstrated by USA National Champions). You will hear lectures on stroke mechanics, conditioning principles, nutrition, motivation, race strategies and much more. Campers will take home a written stroke critique and a stroke videotape.
Get a jump on the competition and expand your knowledge and conditioning more than you ever dreamed. During free time in Week 1, activities such as video movies, recreational activities will be organized and supervised by the counselors and coaches.
Weeks 1 and 2: All Swimmers (9 and older) will be involved in daily practice sessions using the latest training methods which include swimming; race strategy; dry land exercises; drills for all four strokes; anaerobic/sprint training; aerobic/endurance training; flexibility exercises; interval training. There will also have presentations in weight training, proper nutrition, mental training and the physiology of swimming.
