The Teaching Philosophy:

The staff of the St. Lawrence University Summer Hockey School is dedicated to teaching the fundamental skills and aspects of the game of hockey. We will not drill the students attending our hockey school, but will teach them in groups ands as individuals to make them better hockey players and help them enjoy their camp experience. In addition to the members of the Saint Hockey staff, several current and former Saint players will be on hand to assist in both the on-ice and off-ice programs

Program of Instruction:

The hockey school is designed to provide development of fundamental hockey skills with regard to individual and team-play concepts.

Individual skills: Power skating, skating dynamics, passing fundamentals, shooting techniques and decision making.

What to Bring:

Hockey Equipment: Skates, socks and garters, supporter and cup, pants, shin pads, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, mouth guard, helmet, sticks and tape. Mouth guard, helmet and facemask are mandatory. Goaltenders should bring their own equipment.
