Six Saints Earn Liberty League Weekly Honors

Feb. 13: Six St. Lawrence University student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League Monday afternoon for their performances during the last week.
Sophomore forward Kelly Legg earned "Performer of the Week" as she led the women's basketball team extended its unbeaten streak to 16 games with wins over Bard and Vassar. The Fairport, NY native averaged 12.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, including a double-double (20 points, 11 rebounds) and four blocks in a 70-62 victory over the Brewers on Saturday.
First-year student Ibrahim Khan earned "Rookie of the Week" for the third time this season as he went 2-0 at No. 3, helping the Saints split with Williams and Middlebury. The Rawalpindi, Pakistan native won in four games against 10th-ranked Williams and in three games against 11th-ranked Middlebury.
Senior Jarell Roberts earned "Track Performer of the Week" as he established the Liberty League record while tying his own SLU mark (7.3 seconds) in winning the 60 meter dash at the Liberty League indoor track and field championships. The Altamonte Springs, FL native, who also set the league record with a win in the 200m (22.44), was selected as the outstanding track performer of the meet.
Also on the men's indoor track and field team, first-year student Adam McNichol earned "Co-Rookie of the Week" as he won the 400 meters (51.20), placed fourth in the 200 meters and also anchored the second place 4x400 relay at the Liberty League Championships.
On the women's side, sophomore Hannah Kinsey earned "Track Performer of the Week" as she led the Saints to their second straight Liberty League Championship. The Barton, VT native established a league record in the 60m (8.07 seconds) and finished just .03 seconds off the record in the 200m (26.56).
First-year student Eliza Bell earned "Co-Rookie of the Week" as she set the league record in the high jump at 1.60 meters. The Clinton, NY native also placed third in the triple jump.
