St. Lawrence University's athletic program finished the fall with an 11th place ranking in the final fall listing of the Learfield Sports Director's Cup Standings for NCAA Division III teams.

The Saint program was eighth, its highest-ever ranking through the second phase of the fall tabulation, but slipped three spots when the football championship was included. The eighth-place ranking is the highest ever attained by the Saint program since the inception of the annual competition in 1995-96 and the current 11th place standing is the best at the conclusion of the fall season.

The rankings are based on finishes in NCAA championship competition. A total of 185 NCAA Division III institutions have qualified for the fall listing which is headed by Washington University (MO).

St. Lawrence earned 194.5 points for eighth place finishes by both the men's and women's cross country teams and for the men's soccer team reaching the round of 16 in fall NCAA championships. The Saints lead three Liberty league teams which earned top-20 finishes in the fall with Hobart/William Smith ranked 12th and Skidmore ranked 20th. Three teams in the top 20 is the best in Liberty League history.

The previous high ranking for St. Lawrence was 14th in the 2010 fall standings.
