St. Lawrence University's athletic program ranks 19th in the 2010-11 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup after the first compilation of winter NCAA tournament results.

St. Lawrence, which was 14th after a fall season in which four teams earned NCAA bids to account for 188 points added 53 points to its total from the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships where senior Wendy Pavlus won the 5000 meter championship to account for the Saint scoring.

The Saints will gain additional winter sports when the results from the NCAA ski championships are factored into the standings in the final winter scoring at the end of March.

St. Lawrence teams also participated in national championship events in men's and women's squash during the winter season, but those sports do not count toward the Learfield Cup as they are not NCAA sanctioned.

The Saints remain the top team among its Liberty League competitors in the Learfield Cup rankings. The University of Rochester is the nearest competitor from the Liberty League in 39th place.
