St. Lawrence Cracks Top-25 in Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Standings

St. Lawrence is 23rd in the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings.

Mar. 15: St. Lawrence University is ranked in the top-25 of the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings after the first round of winter totals. The Saints are 23rd out of the 219 teams that have earned points during NCAA competition, and are the top ranked Liberty League institution.

St. Lawrence has 223.50 points overall after adding 54.5 points for the performances in women's track and field. The trio of Divya Biswal, Ella Martin and Marisa Turner lifted the Saints ahead of Cortland State and Carnegie Mellon into 23rd overall.

Four Liberty League institutions are in the top-100, including St. Lawrence, Hobart/William Smith (35th), Skidmore (91st) and Clarkson (99th). Williams College owns the top spot with 375.25 points, followed by Middlebury, Johns Hopkins, Calvin and Emory.

The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports - nine women's and nine men's. The second Division III winter standings will be released on Thursday, March 28.
