Continentals Handle Saints, 9-0

Jan. 30: The St. Lawrence University women's squash team dropped a dual-match with Hamilton College by the score of 9-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Robin Squash Courts in Canton, NY.

The loss drops the Scarlet and Brown to 6-8 on the season.

The Continentals lost only two games in the nine matches to the Saints in an impressive performance.  St. Lawrence senior Meg North battled Alyssa Bawden at No. 3 to a four-game match, losing 11-9, 11-8, 6-11, 11-6.  First-year student Frances Robinson also took her match to four games at No. 5 before falling to Hamilton's Courtney Kollmer, 11-8, 12-10, 8-11, 11-4.

Hamilton swept the remaining seven matches 3-0.  Other St. Lawrence competitors on Saturday included Sofi Garnett (No. 1), Jennifer Hearn (No. 2), Jackie Barrett (No. 4), Jessica Ziegler (No. 6), Molly Caplan (No. 7), Alyssa Smith (No. 8) and Katie Demakos (No. 9). 

St. Lawrence will be in action again on Saturday, February 6 when they face Cornell and Franklin and Marshall.
