Eight Players Earned ECAC Hockey All-Academic Honors

Sept. 14: Eight members of the 2010-11 St. Lawrence University women's hockey team earned ECAC Hockey All-Academic honors last season.
Players are eligibile for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.
Lauren Brozowski '11, Nikki Bongaerts '11 and Vanessa Emond '12 each earned their way on to the All-Academic squad for the third consecutive season. Josee Belanger '12 and Brooke Fernandez '13 became two-time honorees for their efforts in the classroom.
Meanwhile, Kelly Sabatine '13, Caitlyn Lahonen '14 and Mel Desrochers '14 each earned All-Academic honors for the first time in 2011-12.
A total of 138 student-athletes from across the 12 ECAC Hockey institutions earned All-Academic status.
