O'Neil 2nd, Saints 3rd at Cortland Tournament
Sept 30: First Year Claire O'Neil shot her collegiate low on Saturday and finished up second overall in the Larry Wallace Invitational at Cortland with a two-day total of 159, helping St. Lawrence University's women's golf team to a third place finish in the 10-team tournament.
O'Neil shot 77 in Saturday's opening round for her first collegiate sub-80 score and came back with a solid 82 on Sunday to finish second to Sharon Li of Ithaca, who turned in a one-over par 143 total for the two rounds with a 70 on day one and a 73 on day two. O'Neil's 77 was the third best individual round of the tournament behind Li's two scores.
Senior Aimee Caligiore bounced back from an opening round 87 with an 80 on Sunday and finished 11th overall with a 167 total while classmate Kelly Hale shot her collegiate best of 81 on Saturday and had and 89 on Sunday to finish tied for 12th with a 170 total. Maddie Moore finished 17th with rounds of 85 and 89 for a 174 total and Kerrin Ehrensbeck was the Saints' fourth scorer on Sunday with an 87 and finished 31st in the field with a two-day total of 189.
The Saints conclude the fall season at Williams next weekend.
