Saints Earn Top-10 Finish at Head of the Charles

St. Lawrence picked up a top-10 finish at the 48th Head of the Charles Regatta.

Oct. 22: The St. Lawrence University women's crew team picked up a top-10 finish in the women's collegiate eights race at the 48th annual Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, MA this weekend.

Racing against some of the premier teams in the nation, the Saints were bow number 14 but climbed to ninth place overall with a time of 18:29.6.

Senior Madeline Fones stroked the Saints' 8+, while classmate Kelly Greenwood was the coxswain. St. Lawrence was also represented by Leah Ruggiero, Kelly Bartlett, Alissa McCaffrey, Emily Hutchinson, Margaret Fellows, Sally Dankner and Jessica Burdett.

Trinity College won the collegiate eights race in 17:42.6, followed by William Smith College and Williams College in second and third, respectively.

St. Lawrence will complete the fall portion of its schedule this weekend on Saturday, October 27 at the 2012 Head of the Fish in Saratoga, NY.
