Unity-Intensity-Dedication--Hard Work: These ideas have come to form the ethos of the St. Lawrence women's soccer program.  The 2008 season marked a new era of leadership under head coach Franco Bari, and the Saints wasted little time in renewing a standard of excellence on and off the field.  Competition within a spirit of cohesion-and in the context of a balanced scholar-athlete experience-defines the mission of the women's soccer program at St. Lawrence.

In and out of conference, the Saints pursue an aggressive schedule each year, squaring off against some of the best teams in the nation.  St. Lawrence climbed as high as fourth in the ultra-competitive New York Region, and attained a 25 national ranking on the strength of their 10-5-3 record in 2008.

Individual accolades have rolled in on top of team success:  In Bari's first season, five Saints earned All-Liberty League season honors, while eight upperclassmen were named to the conference All-Academic team.  Captain Lauren Sischo added to her impressive career with a nod on the ESPN Academic All-District team, while sophomore Nicky Hynes was recognized for her defensive prowess, earning NSCAA/adidas First Team All-Region honors. 

The future looks bright, as Bari and company look to add to a growing list of all-conference, all-state, regional and national honors in the Saints Soccer tradition.  More important than the individual honors, however, is the Saints' emerging team identity:  the ongoing pursuit of excellence as scholars, as campus and community leaders, and as proud representatives of the Scarlet and Brown.
