St. Lawrence University's women's lacrosse team has been one of the most consistent post-season participants among all St. Lawrence sports and produced the Saints' first women's national finalist team in 1990.

St. Lawrence women's lacrosse promotes athletics and academics. The team consistently has multiple players named to both the Liberty League academic squad and IWLCA national All-Academic recognition, as well as garnering team recognition with the IWLCA All-Academic Team award.

The Saints begin preparing for the season on the artificial turf in Leithead Field House in February and then head outdoors to North Country Field, an all-weather artificial turf surface. The season typically opens in early March and includes a two-game southern trip during Spring Break. The Saints play a highly competitive regular-season schedule, which includes Liberty League foes Clarkson, Hamilton, Rochester, Rensselaer, Union, Vassar, Skidmore and William Smith.
