Saints Fourth in Middlebury Invitational

The back-and-forth battle which is life at the top in NCAA Division III women's golf in the Northeast continued at the Middlebury College Women's Fall Golf Tournament as Amherst and Williams finished first and second and St. Lawrence University finished fourth in the seven-team tournament.
The Saints had leapt over both Amherst and Williams and into sixth nationally in the Golfstat rankings, but there is likely to be another reshuffle going into the Williams Invitational next weekend, the final tournament of the fall season.
Amherst shot rounds of 318 and 325 for a 643 team total, 11 strokes better than second place Williams. Mt. Holyoke was third at 670 and the Saints were fourth at 672, a stroke ahead of fifth place Vassar.
First-year Aimee Caligiore led the Saints with rounds of 81 and 80, finishing tied for eighth for her third top-ten in four tournaments this fall. Melissa Snizek was tied for 11th with rounds of 82 and 83 and a 165 total while Alair Muzzatti finished 14th, shooting 80-88-168.
