Dan Roiger was named the head women's basketball coach at St. Lawrence University in the summer of 2009 after serving as the head women’s basketball coach at Northland (WI) College five years. Roiger was a two-time winner of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Coach of the Year award (2007, 2009).
In the 2009-2010 season, Roiger led the Saints to a final record of 18-7 and a second place Liberty League finish. Two student-athletes earned All-Conference honors.
At Northland College, Roiger guided his team to the conference regular season and tournament championships in 2008-09 and the 19 wins his team registered were the third most in program history. He had a 32-10 conference record in his last three seasons there and the team was first or second in each of those three seasons. In addition to on-court success, his teams have been outstanding in the classroom, earning a Top 25 Academic Award from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association in 2007-08.
He became head coach at Northland in 2004 after serving as an assistant women’s coach at Carleton College from 2002-04. He was assistant men’s coach at Carleton from 1998-2001 and was a successful high school coach at Northfield High School, coaching basketball, softball and baseball.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison, he earned his master’s degree at Madison and also earned a BA in education from Mankato State University. A native of Wausau, WI, he also served as an assistant athletic director at Northland.

Lauren Sischo, a four-year member of both the women’s basketball team and women’s soccer team at St. Lawrence University will return to her alma mater as assistant women’s basketball coach in 2009-10, joining the staff of head coach Dan Roiger.
Sischo is a May graduate of St. Lawrence and earned the Saints’ Outstanding Senior Scholar-Athlete Award among her may senior honors. A member of Phi Beta Kappa academic honorary, she was a Summa Cum Laude graduate majoring in chemistry. She was the Northern New York American Chemical Society Outstanding Senior Award winner, named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities and named the Omicron Delta Kappa Circle Leader of the Year Award winner all in the spring of her senior year.
She was captain of the basketball team which made its third straight NCAA tournament appearance in 2008-09 and was a second team all league selection. She was a two-year captain of the women’s soccer team and a three-time all league selection in that sport. She also earned D3Kicks.com all region honors and was named to the NYSWCAA All State team in soccer in 2007.
She also served as co-president of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and was secretary of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee from 2007-09. She was the Ronal C. Hoffmann First-Year Scholar Athlete Award winner in 2006, was Liberty League All Academic in both basketball and soccer in each of her three eligible seasons and was an ESPN The Magazine Academic All District selection in soccer in the fall of 2008.
