Saints Complete Day 3 of States

In the 100 backstroke, Brynn Hagen and Molly Sneden both topped their times from the morning session. Hagen finished 12th with a time of 1:01.25, while Sneden finished 17th in 1:02.62.
Also dropping their times from the morning were Elizabeth Canne and Zinnia Smith in the 100 breaststroke. Canne earned a 10th place finish with her season-best time of 1:09.49, while Smith also topped her own season-best with her 20th place finish in 1:11.51.
In the 200 fly, Maria Anselmi posted an 11th place with a time of 2:18.63.
The women's 800 free relay team of Caroline Winslow, Casey Abribat, Canne and Molly Lunn placed 11th with their time of 8:14.18.
On the men's side, Jason Dutra earned a 13th place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.69, while Andrew Hayes was 19th in 55.25.
In the 800 free relay, Hayes, Dutra, Russ Newton and Luke Peleggi posted an 8th place finish with a time of 7:13.84.
Off the 1 meter boards, Billy Moran earned a score of 317.45 to earn 15th place.
The Saints will participate in the final day of competition on Saturday with the preliminaries starting at 10am and the finals beginning at 6pm.

The St. Lawrence University swimming and diving teams advanced seven individuals to the finals.
Leading the women's team was Anselmi, who moved onto the finals after finishing ninth in the 200 fly with a season-best time of 2:16.71.
In the 100 backstroke, Hagen placed 10th with a time of 1:01.71, while Sneden was 18th with her time of 1:02.82.
Canne beat her best season time in the 100 breaststroke, finishing 11th overall in 1:09.86. Smith also trumped her own season best as she was 24th with a time of 1:12.14.
On the men's side, both Dutra and Hayes qualified for the finals in the 100 backstroke. Dutra was 12th with a time of 53.66, while Hayes was 18th with a time of 55.38.
