Saints Take 2nd, 3rd in Weekend Shows

St. Lawrence University's riding team took a second and a third in weekend competition at the Lehman Farms in Pittsford.
The Saints, who will host their fall show beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday and then conclude the fall portion of the schedule at Cazenovia on Sunday, were second to Cazenovia at the Nazareth show, finishing with 39 points with Cazenovia first with 42 and were third in the SUNY Geneseo show as Cazenovia won with 40 points, Alfred was second with 39 and the Saints third with 36.
Abby Cook won in open over fences, Hadley Deming and Emma Jones earned blue ribbons in intermediate over fences, Lily Doris won her class of novice over fences, Jordan Koivu won in novice on the flat and Michelle Harazim won her class of walk-trot-canter in the Nazareth show.
Cook earned high point rider honors for the third time in four shows thus far this season at the Geneseo show, winning both over fences and open on the flat. Casey Zuraitis won a blue ribbon in intermediate over fences, Suzanne Snyder joined Cook as a winner in open on the flat, Taylor Moon won in novice on the flat and Harazim again took a blue ribbon in walk-trot-canter.
