Hart Completes 2011 Season at NCAA Championship

Leah Hart '12 was 33rd in the 15K Classic at the NCAA Championships.

Mar. 11: St. Lawrence University junior Nordic skier Leah Hart completed her 2011 season on Friday at the NCAA Championships in Stowe, VT.

Hart finished in 33rd place in Friday's women's 15K Classic at the Trapp Family Lodge with a time of 59:24.3.  The Meredith, NH native was 17th in the 5K Free on Wednesday.

"Leah had a tremendous season and gained some valuable experience over the last few days," said St. Lawrence head coach Ethan Townsend.

Colorado's Eliska Hajkova won the individual national championship in the classic race with a time of 53:33.3, finishing four seconds ahead of Utah's Maria Graefnings.  The University of Utah won the national championship in the women's 15K Classic by a single point ahead of Colorado.

The 2011 NCAA Championships will finish on Saturday when the alpine qualifiers compete in the slalom.
