May 26: Five members of the 2010 St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team were named to this year's Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) All-Academic roster.

Athletes who post a 3.5 or higher grade point average in the fall semester and compete in the 2010 EISA Championship races are eligible for the honor.

Zach Wetherell '10, Eric Wolcott '10 and Kyle Marvinney '11 represented the men's Nordic ski team, while Johannah Ludington '10 and Leah Hart '12 represented the women's squad.

"I think this group demonstrates what our student-athletes are capable of both in competition and in the classroom," said St. Lawrence head Nordic coach Ethan Townsend.  "This group includes our team leaders and two of our most promising members of our 2011 roster."

Wolcott, who was Second Team All-Region, graduated with his degree in Environmental Studies earlier this month along with Wetherell (English) and Ludington (Biology).  Marvinney is studying towards a degree in Geology while Hart will continue to work in her major of Conservation Biology in 2010-2011.
