LeBlanc Has Top Finish for Saints at ECAC Meet

Josh LeBlanc ran the 1500 for the Saints on Friday.

St. Lawrence University's men's track and field team did not score in the 2010 ECAC Outdoor Championships at Springfield College on Friday as illness forced their top contender for an event victory out of action.

Saint junior Dan Ramsey was unable to compete in the 1500 after sustaining health problems following his warm-up for the event. Ramsey was one of only three Saints scheduled to compete in the meet. It is hoped that Ramsey will be able to compete in the NCAA championships later this month.

Josh LeBlanc finished 19th in the 1500 meters, running 4:01.58, just over his seed time for the event while Austin Carpenter threw the javelin 45.65 meters, well below his qualifying mark of 59.65.
