Michael Hayden '13 won at No.1 singles and doubles on Saturday againgst Ithaca.

March 3: The St. Lawrence University men's tennis team suffered a narrow 5-4 loss to Ithaca College on Saturday evening. The Bombers, ranked No. 17 in the Northeast region, improve to 1-1 overall, while the Saints fall to 0-4 on the season.

Junior Michael Hayden and sophomore Matt Burke were double-winners for the Saints. Hayden defeated Jimmy Newton 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 and also teamed up with first-year student Thomas Luchars to earn an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles. Burke topped Ryan Zuckerman 6-2, 7-6 (2) at No.5, and also earned a 9-7 edge at No. 2 doubles with first-year student Alan Shortz.

The Saints will take on Skidmore College tomorrow afternoon at 2:00pm in the Newell Field House.
