Ogilvy In Molloy Quarters, Seth in Consolation Semis at CSA Individual Nationals

St. Lawrence University freshman Kyle Ogilvy is the first Saint to reach the Molloy Division quarterfinal round on Saturday as he won his third straight match at the College Squash Association individual championships at Amherst College while sophomore Vir Seth is in the consolation semifinals.
Ogilvy beat Rochester's Matt Domenick in the round of 16 Saturday morning, dropping the first game 11-9, but coming back with 12-10, 11-5 and 11-6 wins to advance. Ogilvy lost to Trinity's Vishrab Kolian in the quarterfinals 11-6, 12-10, 11-9.
Ogilvy, playing in his first CSA Individual Nationals tournament, ousted Caleb Garza of Connecticut College 11-2, 9-11, 11-7, 11-3 in the opening round of the Molloy Division and met fourth seeded Nigel Koh of Harvard, who had a first round bye, in the second round. Ogilvy advanced to the round of 16 with a 3-1 win over Koh, winning 11-7, 13-11 7-11, 11-6.
In the Molloy Division first round Seth lost to Valentin Quan of Middlebury. Seth won his first game against Quan 11-8, but lost 11-6, 11-8, 11-9 in the next three games. It was the third time the two have met since the middle of February and Quan has won all three meetings. Seth went on to beat John Tienken of the University of Illinois at Springfield in the first round of the consolation bracket, 11-5, 11-5, 11-7 and advanced to the consolation semifinals with a 13-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-7 win over Scott DeSantis of Amherst. He lost to Garza in a five-game match 5-11, 11-7, 8-11, 11-5, 11-7 in the consolation semis.
