Saints Sweep Exhibition Matches with Queen's, McGill

St. Lawrence University's men's squash team tuned up for the upcoming season with wins over McGill and Queen's in a set of exhibition matches at the Robie Squash Center on Saturday.
The Saints played two eight man matches against both McGill and Queen's and won all four. A team of Scott Phillips, Nick Pearson, Michael Badali, Roger Miller, Russell Woeltz, Dixon Mallory, Pete Montesano and Campbell Smith beat Queen's 6-2 and McGill 7-1 while a second team which included Amay Merchant, Jermaine Xaba, Tyler Stout, Thomas Kraft, Ben Ross, Thomas Whelan, DJ Brinkworth and Austin Carpenter beat Queen's 6-2 and McGill 6-2.
Phillips, Pearson, Badali, Miller and Montesano all went 2-0 in the Saints' first group with Merchant, Stout, Kraft, Ross, Whelan and Brinkworth winning both of their matches in group two.
The Saints will host Toronto on Nov. 14 and begin College Squash Association intercollegiate competition the following weekend when they host the Liberty League Championships.
