#9 Saints Sweep Hamilton

Jan. 30:  The St. Lawrence University men's squash team, ranked No. 9 nationally, earned a 9-0 sweep of No. 25 Hamilton College on Wednesday night in Clinton, NY.  The Saints improved to 8-4 overall, while the Continentals fall to 6-8 on the season. 

Amr Khalifa led the Saints off at one with a 3-0 victory over Martin Bawden (11-4, 11-6, 11-7), and Ibrahim Khan defeated Marc Dudzik 3-0 (11-9, 11-6, 11-4) at two.  At three, Sebastian Riedelsheimer topped Teddy Black, 3-1, after falling in the first game (11-13, 11-9, 11-6, 13-11), and Kyle Ogilvy earned a 3-0 win at four (11-4, 11-3, 12-10).  Anderson Good won at five over Harry Keeshan 3-0 (11-7, 11-3, 11-4), while Will Campo defeated Peter Harrison 3-0 at six (11-0, 11-8, 11-7).  Chris Fernandez beat Walker Lourie 3-0 at seven (11-7, 11-4, 12-10), Vir Seth beat Ted Behrbas 3-0 at eight (11-4, 11-3, 11-3), and Duncan Maxwell beat Mac Pivirotto 3-1 at nine (11-7, 15-17, 12-10, 11-7). 

Amay Merchant, Bart Mackey and Max Frew each earned exhibition victorys.  Merchant won 3-0 (11-8, 12-10, 11-7), Mackey won 3-1 (8-11, 11-8, 11-4, 11-6), and Frew won 3-0 (11-2, 11-4, 11-5). 

The Saints will host Navy in a match at the Robie Squash Courts on Saturday beginning at 11:00am.
