2012:  Tipton missed the beginning of the season due to injury but returned to help the Saints' defense finish ranked 11th in the nation in goals against average (.57) and 12th in shutout percentage (.60).  The Lusby, MD native also scored two goals, the first in a 5-0 win over Clarkson and the second in a 2-2 tie with conference foe Rensselaer.  He finished his four-year career with five goals, including a game-winner, and two assists for twelve points.  Tipton is a history major at St. Lawrence.    

2011: JJ was a key contributor at both ends of the field for the Saints as he had an outstanding season at back as part of the Saints' record setting defense and stepped in offensively on corner kicks. He scored his first career game winning goal on a corner kick at Vassar, scoring the only goal of the game, and he had assists in wins at Hobart and over Plattsburgh.    

2010: JJ again played in seven games for the Saints as a sophomore and scored his second collegiate goal in a 5-1 win over Elmira. he also played in the Liberty League Championship game and the NCAA game against SUNYIT.

2009: One of several Saint players whose season was impacted by injury, JJ played in seven games for the Saints as a rookie. He scored a goal in the 6-0 win over Potsdam, but missed six straight before returning to action against Hamilton. He played in three of the last five.

At Calverton:  JJ Tipton was a standout in soccer and tennis, earning the 2008 Calverton Offensive Player of the Year in soccer. He earned first team All League, All Calvert County and All Southern Maryland honors. He was first team all county as a junior and team captain and was team MVP and a first team all league selection in 2006. Tipton is a member of the National Honor Society.
