Whelan Shoots 66 for men, Women Tie Central in Arizona

Mar. 18: Jack Whelan shot a 66 and Jeff Duggan made a 10 foot putt to win his match and help St. Lawrence University's men's golf team draw with Paradise Community College in Arizona during the Saints spring trip.
The Saint women also played to a tie in a match with Central College in Iowa.
In addition to Whelan's 66 which is a Saint program record for low round, Brandon Lustig shot 72 and Duggan carded a 75 in the match with Paradise. Among the courses the Saints played while in Arizona was Dove Mountain, which was the site of the Accenture Match Play tournament for professionals.
The Saint men are scheduled to open the Northern portion of their spring schedule at the Utica Invitational on April 7 while the women will play in the Vassar Invitational/Liberty League Championship on April 13-14.
