2012: Brendan was a consistent top seven runner for the Saints as a junior and had career best finishes in all of the major meets. He had four top 20 finishes including a career best fourth at the Liberty League Championship, earning first team All Liberty League. He was 12th and the third Saint scorer at the NYSCTC Championship and the third Saint scorer in the Atlantic Regional with a 29th place finish. He improved his best NCAA finish by over 20 spots with a 251st place, scoring 197th.He earned Liberty League All Academic honors.

2011: Courneene worked his way into the Saints' top-7 throughout his sophomore season and improved his career-best finishes at each of the championship meets.  A member of the Liberty League All-Academic team, he was 16th in the Liberty League race and 24th at states.  Courneene also competed in the Atlantic Regional and NCAA Championship races for the first time in his career.

2010: Courneene had an impressive rookie season with the Scarlet and Brown, competing in four events including both the Liberty League and NYSCTC Championships.  Brendan was 20th overall in the conference race and had a season-best time of 26:50 at the Oneonta Invitational/Pre-Regional.

At Beekmantown

Courneene was a tri-sport athlete, participating in Cross Country as well as Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field. The Plattsburgh, NY native served was a team captain and was a state and federation competitor. A member of the National Honor Society, Brendan earned a spot on the High Honor Roll.
