St. Lawrence Competes at 48th Annual Head of the Charles Regatta

The Saints were 34th in the collegiate eights race at the Head of the Charles.

Oct. 22: The St. Lawrence University men's crew team finished in 34th place in the collegiate men's eights race at the 48th annual Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, MA.

The Saints, who finished in 17:56.93, finished ahead of Georgia Tech, the College of Holy Cross and the University of Vermont.

Rookie Travis Galowski stroked the Saints' 8+ while Lauren Ward was the coxswain. St. Lawrence was also represented in the boat by Francis Stripp, Andrew Hojnicki, Drew Twitchell, Michael Brewer, Jack Riordan, Thaddeus Sipe and Sam Pratt.

The University of Virginia won the men's collegiate eights, ahead of Michigan and Grand Valley State Rowing Club.

St. Lawrence will complete the fall portion of its schedule this weekend on Saturday, October 27 at the 2012 Head of the Fish in Saratoga, NY.
