Josh Sharlow was named to the first ever 2010 NABC Division II All-Star game.

Mar. 17:   After a phenomenal 2009-10 season and four year collegiate career, senior captain and Liberty League Player of the Year Josh Sharlow was named to the first ever 2010 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III All-Star Game, Tuesday afternoon.  The game will be played as part of the 2010 NCAA Division III men's basketball championships, Saturday, March 20th at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, VA at 10:30 am.  The Norwood, NY native was chosen to play for the East all-stars.

This all-star contest will replace the NCAA consolation game and will take place prior to the men's basketball national championship game.  Two 10-man teams were selected for the game, with two players coming from each of the eight regions in Division III.  Two players will be added to each roster from the teams that do not advance from Friday night's semifinals to play in the Division III national championship game, scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday afternoon.

Two former coaches will debut at this inaugural event and have both been recipients of the NABC Division III Distinguished Service Award.  Rick Bowen, the former University of Wisconsin-River Falls coach will lead the West team, while Dr. Mike Beitzel, who coached for 20 seasons at Hanover College, will lead the East team.

All senior all-stars chosen were nominated by coaches and selected by a panel representing each Division III region.  Adhering to NCAA rules, all players must be seniors or have exhausted their eligibility.

In addition to basketball, the teams will partake in a community service project, a media day, as well as a champion's luncheon for all Final Four teams and participants.

There will be live video broadcast of the game with Pat Coleman, Joe Davis, and Dave McHugh.  Tickets are part of Saturday's daily ticket at the Salem Civic Center, which includes the national title game at 1:00 pm.
