St. Lawrence University's men's squash team has made a meteoric rise in the collegiate squash rankings since becoming a varsity team in the 1999-2000 season.

The Saints finished the 2010-11 season ranked 13th nationally and were second place finishers in the Liberty League Championships to nationally fourth-ranked Rochester for the fourth straight year. The Saints were Liberty League champions from 2005 through 2007. The Saints annually compete in the College Squash Association national team championships and placed 13th in the 2011 tournament.

St. Lawrence athletes have also met with success in individual competition. Amay Merchant was the 2010 CSA Molloy Division consolation winner, beating teammate Alex Dodge in the championship. Merchant became the second Saint player to win the Molloy consolation championship, joining Jamie McAvity, who was the 2007 winner of that title.Vir Seth made the consolation final in 2011.

The Robie Squash Center, home of the Saints, includes nine ASB Systems squash courts as well as an Anderson glass championship court with seating for 100 spectators. The additional court provides student-athletes with a premiere practice and competition site and gives the University the opportunity to host a national individual championship for squash. St. Lawrence was the site of the 2004 CSA men's and women's national individual squash championships.

The Saints compete as a members of the National Intercollegiate Squash Racquets Association  and the College Squash Association. The schedule blends dual matches and collegiate tournaments with individual play in nearby Canadian open tournaments. Among the teams met in tournament or dual play in recent season are Cornell, Dartmouth, Franklin and Marshall, Brown, the University of Western Ontario and perennial national champion Trinity in addition to Liberty League competitors Rochester, Hamilton, Hobart and Vassar.
