Saints 2nd After Round One of Liberty League Tourney

St. Lawrence University's men's golf team is in second place, seven strokes off the lead, after day one of the 2009 Liberty League Men's Golf Championships at the St. Lawrence University Golf Course on Saturday.
Play resumes with a final 18 holes on Sunday morning at 8:30.
The course surrendered only one sub-par round out of 43 players on Saturday with Skidmore's Chris DeJohn shooting a one-under 71. Skidmore shot a four-man score of 292 to lead after the first round with the Saints second at 299 and Rochester third at 310.
Ben von Reyn and Ren O'Connor led the Saints with even-par rounds of 72 joining DeJohn as the only players to shoot par or better. Adrian Bouthot shot 77 and Jeff Duggan 78 for the Saints 299 with John Harris shooting an opening 82.
Chris Mudge, playing as an individual, shot 74 and is tied for seventh in the field while Walker Steers shot 80 as an individual for the Saints and is tied for 20th.
