Sutton Earns NFF Scholar-Athlete Award

Feb. 10: Senior captain Ethan Sutton was recently honored as St. Lawrence University's National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete for 2011 at a banquet hosted at the Turning Stone Casino and Resort in Verona, NY.
Sutton, who was a dynamic wide receiver and earned All-Conference accolades each of the past two years, was honored at the event on January 29th. The NFF Scholar-Athlete awards are considered the best all-around scholar athlete on their team in their final year of eligibility. These honorees must have a GPA of at least 3.2, have outstanding football ability and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship.
"Ethan is very deserving of this honor and we're proud of all he has accomplished at St. Lawrence," said St. Lawrence head football coach Mark Raymond. "His playmaking abilities made us a dangerous team on the field, but his efforts outside the lines have been tremendous as well."
