Saunders, Washington Compete at 2012 Senior All-Star Game

Jan. 26: Seniors Trevor Saunders and Marcus Washington were each selected to represent St. Lawrence University at the 2012 Hansen Senior Bowl, the Small College All-Star game, on January 16 in Virginia Beach, VA.
The game is held in honor of Don Hansen, the pioneer of national media coverage of small college football through his publication Football Gazette, and is made up of a select group of elite football players from across the NCAA divisions.
The 2012 game was won 14-9 by the River Boats over the Pony Express, with Adam Neugebauer of West Virginia Wesleyan earning the Craig Burroughs MVP award.
Washington led St. Lawrence with a career-high seven touchdowns in 2011, while piling up 1,173 yards on the ground on 254 carries. Both he and Saunders, the team's leader in total tackles (84) and interceptions (3), were First Team All-Conference honorees.
