2010: Saunders cemented himself as one of the premier defensive players in the region during his collegiate-best junior year. The Mount Vernon, NY native set career-highs in tackles, tackles for a loss and had an impressive team-high 12 pass break-ups, leading to First Team All-Conference honors and ECAC All-Star status. Saunders, who is set to serve as a captain for the 2011 season and continued to handle the Saints' kick return duties, also earned Pre-Season North All-America honors for his senior campaign. He also serves on campus as the Vice President of Ray Ross.
2009: Saunders earned Liberty League Second Team honors for his play throughout his sophomore season. He finished with a team-high four interceptions and was the squad's go-to return man in the kicking game. Saunders set new career-highs in games, tackles, sacks, interceptions and pass break-ups.
2008: Saunders' athletic ability helped him make an immediate impact in 2008. The Mount Vernon, NY, native played in seven games and was a sparkplug on special teams. Saunders, who was voted the Saints' 2009 Rookie of the Year, averaged a team-best 15.0 yards per punt return and went for 18.6 yards per kick off return. He will surely be in contention for a starting spot in 2009.
At Dobbs Ferry
Saunders played Football, Basketball and Baseball and was very successful in each. The Dobbs Ferry, NY native captained the football squad and was a two-time selection to the All-State team. Saunders also earned All-Section in baseball and All-League in basketball.
