Fran Grembowicz was named the head coach of the St. Lawrence field hockey program in the fall of 1998. The 2012 season marks her 15th year at the helm of the program in which she has compiled a career record of 147-92 (.615). She has led the Saints to winning records in 11 of the last 12 campaigns, compiling a record of 132-74 in that span.
She has established the Saints among the region's top programs, tying the SLU record with 14 wins en route to both the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association tournament title and the ECAC Mid-Atlantic field hockey championship in 2000. Under her guidance, the Saints were NCAA Regional Finalists in 2001 and were Liberty League regular season co-champions in 2006, 2008 and 2009.
The Saints were Liberty League tournament finalists in 2004, 2006 and 2007. Grembowicz was the league's Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2008 (Co-Coach of the Year). She also had the opportunity to coach for the North team in the North-South Senior All Star game in 2004.An assistant athletic director at St. Lawrence, Grembowicz was also the Saints softball coach from 1999-2012. Building the program from the ground up, she coached numerous all-conference selections, and her team was conference champion in 2000 and runner-up in 2001. She began her Saint coaching career as women's basketball coach, and laid the foundation for a program which emerged as one of the top small college programs in the East.

Ashley Pike, a 2007 graduate of Syracuse University, joined the Saints' coaching staff as an assistant lacrosse coach in the 2010 season and will assist both the lacrosse and field hockey programs in 2012-13.
Pike, a native of Watertown, NY, received her degree in Sports Management after an outstanding career with the Orange's women's lacrosse program. A four year starter, Pike was a Third Team National All-America and a First Team All-Region selection in her senior year. While at Syracuse, Pike was part of a team that won the 2007 Big East Championship and advanced to the NCAA Elite 8.
Pike, who served as a volunteer assistant coach for Syracuse University last season, was an offensive force during her senior season. Mainly a defensive midfielder and goalkeeper her first three seasons with the Orange, Pike recorded 52 points on 44 goals and eight assists after totaling only eight points and four goals her first three years at Syracuse. Her 44 goals in 2007 are tied for the seventh-highest total in school history.
Ashley will be teaching in the First-Year Program during the fall semester of 2012.

Hayley Rausch, one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the University of New Hampshire's field hockey program, joined the St. Lawrence University field hockey staff as assistant coach in the fall of 2012.
Rausch, a native of Severna Park, MD, played four years of field hockey at New Hampshire and was a three-year member of the Wildcat's women's lacrosse team earning first team All America East and was captain as a junior. In field hockey she was the 2011 America East Championship Most Outstanding Player, a first-team All Conference selection, a member of the championship tournament all star team and a Northeast Region first team all star after setting the UNH single season record for points with 62. She scored 26 goals and had 10 assists in her senior year, helping UNH to the America East regular season and tournament titles and a spot in the NCAA tournament. UNH was ranked as high as seventh nationally in 2011.
She played in all but three games in her four seasons at UNH and scored 51 goals and had 34 assists for 136 points in 80 career games. She was a NFHCA Northeast Region second team selection as a junior and also earned America East all conference and all championship team selections.

Lorie MacKenzie will continue to serve as the field hockey team's Faculty/Staff Mentor for 2012-2013.
MacKenzie is the University's Assistant Dean for Academic Administration. She is also the Director of the Summerterm at St. Lawrence and is teaching "Sitcomes in American Culture" for the First-Year Seminar alongside Dr. Valerie Lehr, University Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs.
In this seminar, students explore the ways American culture has been represented in popular television situation comedies from the 1950s through the present. They examine popular series from various decades, as well as the scholarly analysis of situation comedies, to explore how these comedic shows provide a window into each time period.
