Saints Roll To 16-0 Win over Pitt-Bradford

Mar. 13: St. Lawrence University's baseball team had another big day at the plate, scoring in every inning but the last, and a trio of Saint pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout in a 16-0 win over Pitt-Bradford in Ft. Myers, FL on Wednesday.
The Saints, now 2-3 on their southern trip, jumped out to a 7-0 lead through two innings and coasted to the win. Brian Magovney had a three run double in the first and singled home another run in the second. Paul Fiatelli went three for six and scored three runs while designated hitter Matt DeLuca was two for three and drove in two runs. Zane Fish, Jeff Kott and Mark Syron also had two hits each in the win as the Saints hammered seven Pitt-Bradford pitchers for 16 hits.
Junior Chris Kellogg earned the win, going six innings and allowing four hits with three strikeouts. Eric McGuire pitched one scoreless inning and Frank Grady wrapped it up with two innings of one-hit ball, striking out four.
The Saints return to action in Florida against St. Joseph's College at 1 pm. Thursday.
