Sarah Burdsall '84
A four-year standout in both field hockey and basketball at St. Lawrence, Sarah Burdsall played an integral role on the first SLU women's team to earn a NCAA post-season tournament bid, the 1983 basketball team.
She was among the scoring leaders in both sports and was a captain of the field hockey team in 1983. A four-year starter in basketball, she finished her career with 986 points. She was the second leading scorer on the 18-5 1983 team which finished second in the New York State Tournament and earned an NCAA tournament bid. A consistent scorer and rebounder, she scored a career-high 27 points in a win over Vermont in 1982.
Following graduation, she received her master's degree from Ithaca College and went into teaching and coaching. Sarah has coached four sports at both the high school and Division III levels and was head women's basketball coach at Alfred University and Lynchburg College. She was named New Jersey Prep Coach of the Year in Field Hockey and Basketball three times, leading Blair Academy teams, in three sports, to New Jersey Prep State Championships.

and high school health and physical education teacher at Lenox Memorial Middle
and High School in Lenox, MA. An avid
biker who rode across the country in 1997, she has attended the National Outdoor
Leadership School. She competes in running races and
