A three sport standout at St. Lawrence, Jack Klemens played football and baseball and was a player-coach in ice hockey.

Perhaps best known for his exploits on the ice, Jack was both a 5-10 170 pound defensemen and the team’s coach in the mid 1940’s as he reorganized the team after a year without hockey and then reinstituted it one more time after a hiatus for World War II.

His work with the hockey team and dedication to the sport laid the groundwork for the glory years to come and a continuous run of teams from 1946 to the present.
