Woodrow W. Covell '36

During a three year varsity career, Woody Covell never tasted defeat as a collegiate wrestler at St. Lawrence.

In a span of 30 consecutive wins, he pinned 28 of his opponents. He also played football and ran track and was the outstanding athlete in the class of 1936. His pin ratio still stands as one of the best in St. Lawrence wrestling history.

He was the star of one of three undefeated wrestling teams in SLU history and is one of six undefeated collegiate wrestlers for SLU.

Following graduation, he went on to become an outstanding public school administrator.
