Dr. Jodi Canfield was named the head coach of the St. Lawrence University women's lacrosse program in 1999. Since taking over, she has posted a 113-86 record, including a 14-5 record in the 2002 season as the Saints advanced to the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament championship game.

Canfield guided the Scarlet and Brown to a 12-5 record and a 6-2 conference mark in 2010 that landed them in third place in the conference standings. In 2008, St. Lawrence enjoyed an 11-5 overall record and a 5-3 conference mark in 2008 that earned them a spot in the Liberty League Tournament. Canfield is adamant about her players' successes off the field as well, as six players received conference All-Academic accolades in 2012, while the entire squad once again earned All-Academic status from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaching Association.

Canfield graduated from St. Lawrence in 1991 and was a member of the NCAA runner-up squad in 1990, inducted into the St. Lawrence University Athletic Department Hall of Fame in the Fall of 2002. A multi-sport athlete, Canfield also played on the Saints tennis team. In addition, Jodi was an exemplary student-athlete being named Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honorary.

Canfield brings to the Saints an enthusiasm and desire for excellence in the sport of women's lacrosse and provides leadership and guidance to student-athletes within the community. She resides in Canton with her husband Gary as well as Lucy and Rudy, their Brittany dogs.
