Jodi Canfield
Saints Athletics

Dr. Jodi Canfield was named the head coach of the St. Lawrence University women's lacrosse program in 1999. Since taking over, she has posted a 113-86 record, including a 14-5 record in the 2002 season as the Saints advanced to the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament championship game.
Canfield guided the Scarlet and Brown to a 12-5 record and a 6-2 conference mark in 2010 that landed them in third place in the conference standings. In 2008, St. Lawrence enjoyed an 11-5 overall record and a 5-3 conference mark in 2008 that earned them a spot in the Liberty League Tournament. Canfield is adamant about her players' successes off the field as well, as six players received conference All-Academic accolades in 2012, while the entire squad once again earned All-Academic status from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaching Association.
Canfield graduated from St. Lawrence in 1991 and was a member of the NCAA runner-up squad in 1990, inducted into the St. Lawrence University Athletic Department Hall of Fame in the Fall of 2002. A multi-sport athlete, Canfield also played on the Saints tennis team. In addition, Jodi was an exemplary student-athlete being named Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honorary. In 2012, she received her Ph.D from Syracuse University.
A certified strength and conditioning coach, Canfield brings to the Saints an enthusiasm and desire for excellence in the sport of women's lacrosse and provides leadership and guidance to student-athletes within the community. She resides in Canton with her husband Gary as well as Lucy and Rudy, their Brittany dogs.
