Intramural Alcohol Policy

Intramural Captains and Sport Club Leaders,

Please accept the following as a friendly reminder.

The St. Lawrence Intramural and Sport Clubs are not an exception to the New York State open container law. That is to say that we mandate that teams and spectators refrain from alcohol prior to and during participation in the Intramural and Club Sport experience. These programs are, as a matter of fact, striving for the "natural high" associated with exercise and sport.

We anticipate that you, as a captain or club leader, will echo this sentiment to the rest of your teams and loyal fans. It is in the best interest of these teams to encourage clean, fun and fair play so that the Intramural and Sport Club program can continue to provide a structure by which games and activities can be scheduled and played.
