DePoy, Saints Edge Raptors 1-0

Sept. 29: First-year student Emily DePoy scored on a header in the 83rd minute to give the St. Lawrence University women's soccer team a 1-0 win over Bard College in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon in Annandale-On-Hudson, NY. The Saints improve to 6-2-2 overall with a 1-1-1 mark in the league, while the Raptors fall to 4-6-1, 0-1-1.

Brewers Edge Saints in Overtime, 3-2

Sept. 28: Vassar's Chloe Wheeler scored the game-winning goal in the 107th minute to give her team a 3-2 double-overtime win over St. Lawrence University on Friday evening. The Brewers improved to 6-3 (1-1 Liberty League), while the Saints moved to 5-2 (0-1-1 Liberty League).

Saints, Thoroughbreds Battle to 0-0 Tie in Double-Overtime

Sept. 22:  The St. Lawrence University women's soccer team battled Skidmore College to a scoreless tie in double-overtime in the team's Liberty League opener at Sandy MacAllaster Field.  Both teams had several solid chances in the extra periods, but were unable to capitalize.  St. Lawrence moves to 5-1-2 on the season (0-0-1 Liberty League), while Skidmore now has a 1-5-1 mark (0-1-1 Liberty League). 

Saints Edge Soaring Eagles, 3-2

Sep. 16:  The St. Lawrence University women's soccer team bounced back from Saturday's overtime loss with a 3-2 victory over Elmira College on Sunday in a non-conference match-up in Elmira, NY.  The Saints improve to 5-1-1 on the season and were led by senior captain Stephanie Sayward, junior Julia Friesen and first-year student Emily DePoy, who each scored a goal. The Soaring Eagles scored twice in the second half, but their come-back bid fell short as they move to 1-4-1.  

Saints Fall to Golden Flyers in Double-Overtime Heartbreaker

Sept. 15:  The St. Lawrence University women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 setback on Saturday, falling to host Nazareth College in double-overtime in Rochester, NY.  The Saints, who were dealt their first loss of the season, fall to 4-1-1.  Meanwhile, Olivia Derleth's goal in the 107th minute lifted the Golden Flyers to a 3-1-3 overall record. 

Saints Roll Past Bears, 7-0

Sept. 12:  The St. Lawrence University women's soccer team improved to 4-0-1 with a 7-0 victory over SUNY Potsdam on Wednesday afternoon at Maxcy Hall Turf Field in Potsdam, NY.  Sophomore forward Nyssa LaClair led the Saints with two goals, both assisted by first-year student Mimi Coppinger, while senior Stephanie Sayward, sophomores Mackenzie Collins and Meghan Ryan, and first-year students Emily DePoy and Hannah Calvelli each added a goal.  

Sayward, Saints Down Mavericks, 4-0

Sep. 9:  Senior captain Stephanie Sayward scored two goals to lead the St. Lawrence University women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Medaille in day two of the Cortland State Tournament in Cortland, NY. 

Saints, Red Dragons Play to 0-0 Tie in Double-Overtime

Sep. 8:  The St. Lawrence University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie with Cortland State on Saturday night at Holloway Field.  The Saints, who kept the Red Dragons (1-0-2) off the board despite being outshot 24-12 in the game, move to 2-0-1 on the season. 

Soccer Games Changed Due To Inclement Weather

Sept. 7:  The Saints women's soccer games at the SUNY-Cortland Tournament have been changed due to the impending weekend's weather forecast.  Please note the following changes to the schedule:

Saturday, September 8
7:00 pm vs. Cortland on the Holloway grass field if playable, or the Stadium Red turf field. 

Sunday, September 9
3:30 pm vs. Medaille on the Stadium White or Red turf field

Saints Win Lotto Classic with 2-0 Victory

Sep. 2:  The St. Lawrence University women's soccer team claimed the top spot at the North Country Lotto Classic with a 2-0 victory over Ohio Wesleyan at Sandy MacAllaster Field on Sunday.  The Saints, who improved to 2-0, were led by sophomore Mackenzie Collins, juniors Julia Friesen and Corinne Werner, and senior Stephanie Sayward, who each earned All-Tournament honors for their efforts over the weekend.
